Mutual fund loads take money from your investment and put them in a salesperson's pocket. The returns on mutual funds with loads are not higher than no load mutual funds, so why would you even consider paying a salesperson a commission for investing in their mutual fund.

As you are probably well aware it is possible to invest inmutual funds that diversify across all industries or mutual funds that invest in single industries. Since the world's consumption of electricity is growing at a faster pace than the world's electricity production capacity, one of my favorate areas to invest in is energy. Demand growing faster than supply is a surefire recipe for profits.

There are many different subfields of the energy sector. Amongst many others, you can invest in companies that drill for oil, companies that create the equipment needed for oil drilling, or companies that sell petroleum based fuel. There is a wide array of companies that are tied to the energy field.

My personal favorate section of the energy field to invest in is alternative or renewable energy. These are teh companies that are searching for new ways to produce energy in an environmentally friendly way.
